Prologue


  • MUPDC is an NGO formed in 2004 by a group of professionals in Mumbai on the backdrop of anti-North Indian Campaign “Mee Mumbaikar” in Mumbai.
  • In December 2004, “Ganga Mela - Festival of Uttar Pradesh” was organized in Mumbai to showcase the rich tradition and culture of Uttar Pradesh in Mumbai.
  • In July 2006, 2012, 2018, “Uttar Pradesh - State of Opportunity” was organized in Mumbai to Discuss, Deliberate & Debate investing opportunities in Uttar Pradesh.
  • Since 2014 till date MUPDC initiative of imparting free vocational training to the economically backward youths in Uttar Pradesh is giving desired results.
  • MUPDC plans to open Vocational Training & Education Schools in Uttar Pradesh so as to impart free vocational training to the economically backwards youth of Uttar Pradesh.

  • Work towards making of Uttar Pradesh as one of the developed states of India and to remove the laggard state tag.
  • Attract investment to Uttar Pradesh by showcasing the new developments and avenues being opened up in Uttar Pradesh by organizing conventions and investor meets.
  • Shatter inappropriate perception of Uttar Pradesh and project the state and its people in the correct light.
  • To forge a better understanding between the people of North Indian and Maharashtra in Mumbai so as to eliminate friction and to increase better understanding and mutual respect for each other and thereby strengthening National Integration.
  • Organizing events to showcase and popularize culture, tourism, handicraft and cottage industries of Uttar Pradesh across India.
  • To launch Vocational Training School throughout Uttar Pradesh so as to offer free training to the economically deprived section of the society.
  • To ensure placement for all the students of these Vocational Training Schools.


Policies


  • The Council has been setup for discussing, planning and executing business ventures in Uttar Pradesh so as to develop Uttar Pradesh and remove regional imbalance in India.
  • The Council does not encourage caste, creed and religion among its member.
  • The Council wants quality members rather than quantity.
  • Political activities and religious activities are strictly prohibited since the Council believes that the present sorry state of Uttar Pradesh is because of these two evils in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

  • The Council has successfully concluded “Ganga Mela” to showcase the culture, tourism, handicraft and cottage industries of Uttar Pradesh in Mumbai.
  • In June 2008, 2012 & 2016 , the council held “Convention for the Development of Uttar Pradesh” to Discuss, Deliberate & Debate the issue of Development of Uttar Pradesh in Mumbai.
  • The Council for the past 6 years has been successfully imparting vocational education to the economically unemployed youths of Uttar Pradesh and the number of youths being trained has been increasing on YOY basis.
  • The Council has been successful in providing jobs to the successful candidates.

Founder


Adv Mahendrakumar K Bajpai (Chairman)

Studied in Rosary High School and later completed his graduation in Chemistry from G N Khalsa College. He got elected as the University Representative of G N Khalsa College and became the “Senate Member” of the prestigious “ University of Bombay” in …. Post Graduated in Law from Ambedkar College of Law and acquired Master in Law from Bharatiya Vidyapeeth. Worked as Journalist and then subsequently started practice in Mumbai High Court and subsequently in Supreme Court of India. In 2004 he got disturbed by the frequent squabbling between the North Indians and Maharashtrians in Mumbai he founded “Mumbai UP Development Council (MUPDC) ”. The objective of MUPDC is to attract investment to Uttar Pradesh by showcasing the new developments and avenues being opened up in Uttar Pradesh by organizing conventions and investor meets. Mr.Bajpai is also the Honorary Director of Institute of Medicine & Law and is an authority in the field of Medical Law in India.
